Upon arrival to one of our After School Clubs, children will have access to a variety of carbohydrates, with fillings, and fruit and vegetable options, alongside a choice of squash, milk or water to help them refuel following a busy day!
The children are offered a variety of resources and activities. At our After School Clubs, we have ‘Our Weekly Planner’ with supports our provision offering. This is usually based on a Theme, National Day, Festival or Celebration. This planner is used alongside the children’s interests and our child-led principle of free play. Much like our approach to a morning session, each child is different, where one child may prefer a quieter end to the day if they are tired, we will observe this, offer some beanbags and a quieter activity, whereas another child may have lots of energy and will prefer a much more active afternoon session!
Please see below an example of our After School Club Menu.
As a company we ensure all the food we serve adheres to the School Food Trust Standards, and our practice is in line with both Food Safety and Natasha’s Law. We encourage independence by offering a self-serving style breakfast or snack, where children are supported to select their breakfast using tongs, spread their butter/jam themselves, pour their own drink from a jug etc.
We cater for all dietary requirements including preferences and allergies.
